      Ah cool, so LLU basically means no capping/throttling...sounds good

      Neilmcl my exchange is 'Dartford' and I'm 1.08 miles from the exchange. Its says that sky offer LLU also? Is this only on certain packages i take it.

      I'm off to read up on the o2user site, find out what the best deal is for me.

      Phone Sky and ask them to move you to their LLU package, threaten to leave if you don't get moved. How much are you paying?

      How long have you been with Sky? According to Samknows Sky have had an LLU presence since 2006, usually if they have no LLU slots available they should have informed you before putting you onto Connect and even then they should have offered a discount. This is very poor

      As ISITME suggests contact Sky and demand that you get put on a LLU package, you've got 3 to choose from as listed here: http://www.sky.com/portal/site/skyco...ucts/broadband

      Ok i guess its worth calling them and see what the say. I believe I'm paying about 18 for the connect package. Those packages dont look too bad, are they really unlimited? I must admit i am quite a heavy user so not surprised I'm being throttled. The unlimited 20mb looks appealing!

      neilmcl been with sky since march 07. I believe the only package available to me at that time was connect because so many users were on sky in my area.

      Another quick question if i was to move to o2, how long would i be without the internet for?

      You are being robbed. I find it difficult to believe that there have been no spaces available on Sky's LLU since you joined. They are supposed to move you as soon as a space is available but a great many get overlooked. You should also have been offered a discount.

      Put your telephone number in the box on this page and see what they say is available. -
      Sky Broadband - High Speed Wireless Broadband and Offers - Join Online
      If they say Base Everyday and Unlimited is available, phone Sky and tell them you want moved immediately or you are going.
      Moving to another ISP with a MAC should mean you are only disconnected for minutes, an hour at most.

      Sorry i got it wrong, connect was meant to be a short term measure but like you said we were probably over looked. They gave us a 12 discount so only paying 5 for the bb. Just done the test and yes all packages are available so bout to ring them now.

      The only truly unlimited LLU package is, as it's name suggests, Sky Unlimited. With base there is a 2Gb a month limit and Everyday its 10Gb. Everyone on Connect has their speed throttled during peak times regardles of whether you're a heavy user or not.

      AFAIK all the LLU packages on 02 are unlimited.
