      Question about upstream speed

Upgraded to Unlimited on Monday (took around half an hour) Router has rebooted itself about 3 times since then, giving various speeds, with the upstream increasing. These are my current stats
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3527 kbps 689 kbps
Line Attenuation 54.5 db 31.1 db
Noise Margin 7.6 db 11.0 db
My question is, although the upstream has increased, downloading files/progs is no quicker than it was when I was on fixed speed of 416 on Mid (or everyday as it's now called) Should downloading be quicker?
      Appreciate any help.

      Re: Question about upstream speed

Upstream speed has very little affect on downloading that's where downstream or download speed is the important factor. Upstream speed is important when you're uploading data from your PC to the internet, uploading pics to your favourite social networking site for example, or playing online games. Also, you wont notice a huge difference anyway between 412Kbps and 689Kbps.
