      Hi Skyuser have their own speed tester which is good compared to speed test.net also when you have done the speed test just copy and paste to your post

      Hi Tom looks like after telephone call Soundas Attenuation jumped from 61dbs to 75dbs thats a lot especially as it was 61db from the test socket and only went up after talking to sky I know you will know why
      From first post
      Line Attenuation 61 db 38 db
      Noise Margin 16 db 9 db
      From your second post
      Line Attenuation 61 db 38 db
      Noise Margin 25 db 8 db
      from your fourth post
      Line Attenuation 75 db 38 db
      Noise Margin 12 db 9 db

      Basically, the attenuation goes up as ADSL2+ allows the router to measure the full attenuation. As IANTE says, this is a very long line and may get about 1.5-2Mb at best.

      Understand that but I thought that is a lot to go from 61db to 73db last post. Especially after Soundas did stats from test socket 61db you can expect about 3db to 4db difference but 12db

      Well after the visit today from BT and him saying all the micro filters we're broke i went out and bought as few more.

      I am pretty sure you have now been put back on G.DMT

      Steve, you will notice the attenuation has now come back down to the maximum that G.DMT will measure. Nothing has changed except the mode being used. Normally a move from G.DMT to ADSL2+ will raise the attenuation by 2-4dbs, but when it is up near the maximum it shows the true attenuation.
