still waiting on faster 20mb upgrade

well its now September and I am still waiting on my line being upgrade to the new faster speeds how long shall I wait before contacting them as my speed has been varying lately. my modem used to sync at around 6mb now its only sync at 5mb which is giving me a test speed at around 4.50mb.

i need faster speed even my ps3 iplayer experience is jerky and needs to buffer
a lot. this never happened before

If you are syncing at 6mb now you are unlikely to get much of an improvement, a few kilobits at most. Your upload will improve so that may help your gaming. The speed you have should be plenty fast enough for gaming. Have you had your delay reduced?

Re: still waiting on faster 20mb upgrade

i just found out from customer support that my line was left with more errors after llm. support reconfigured my line back to my original settings was told llm wouldn't offer me any improvement and will get no more speed from sky.

so i am back to where i started 6.50kbps with no improvement in upload either
just got to hope FTTC comes around my way soon

technical support was honest in telling me that perhaps 60% of there customers would see no increase in speed from llm

Re: still waiting on faster 20mb upgrade

Can you post your current stats?

I am surprised that they run DLM without your knowledge, then returned your line to its original condition. There are posters coming on here everyday who have had DLM put on their line, leaving it in a mess and then need to jump through hoops to get it put back. I am smelling a fob off.

Re: still waiting on faster 20mb upgrade

So they haven't actually run DLM on your line? You would not get a 1.3Mb upload, nobody has so far, even those that live next door to the exchange, but you should get something. You are the first I have heard who has had DLM stopped before it even started. Believe me, there are a lot who wish they had.

DLM was running on my line i had phoned to complain about hash fails etc slower speeds was told DLM left my line with more errors it had completed but was configured manually
back to its original stable condition.

Re: still waiting on faster 20mb upgrade

Your speeds are still better than some peoples I got 1mb less than you download and about 100kbps less upload, and I can use my ps3 and game online with no problems at all
