I have moved this post to give continuity. Having two posts on the same subject only causes confusion and makes it more difficult for members to help.

Yes but this is due to the distance and quality if your line, there is nothing Sky can do about that.

      Re: Download Speed

You need to move closer to the exchange.

Speed is variable and depends on line distance and quality, you have problems with both

My neighbour has 2.9mg download speeds. Could there be a diffence in line quality between me and my neighbour? Both lines are BT.

      Re: Download Speed

Yes there could. Do youhave any noise on your line? Just pick up the phone and press one button and listen. If you hear any noise, pops or crackles you need to report a line fault with your line provider, (BT etc).

Do not mention broadband to them or you will just conduse things.

Re: Sky Broadband - Bannockburn Exchange - Poor Speeds

Now getting an average of 0.6 mg download speed from Sky in an 8mg area! Horrendous.
Can you post the stats from your router, see the Quick Links on the left?

What area do you live in? I see you live down near the Goth, you will not get much more but you should get 2-3 Mb. See my last paragraph.

Looking back at the last stats you posted, you were on ADSL2+, if you are still on that, it could explain your poor speed. Call Sky and ask them to reconfigure your line to G.DMT as ADSL2+ is crippling it.
