Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

      Hi tuffjam

I am awaiting a Sky Engineer Installation due on 9th October here in Wycombe.

My old BB went dead on Monday as Sky have activated their LLU LINE SHARE PSTN order with BT for my line.

So, in theory, I am connected on the High Wycombe exchange; I just can't test it as I ain't got a Sky router.

I live in Loudwater, near the terrorist wood camp, and have been waiting since 7th September for activation.

I too have been informed, after a threat to cancel via email, that the problems is at the the exchange.

Can Bt confirm this? to be honest, I can't be doing with all the phone calls and the like, but it is getting to the point of one final, angry phone call to cancel.

Those terrorists get around, don't they?!!

Everything went teets up for me from the 7th also. That's the latest date on the BT tracker and then my old ISP was ceased on the 12th.

At least someone is connected at Wycombe. Apparently there are cable problems at the exchange which is causing the delay. I wonder who thought that excuse up.....

      Easynet Planned Maintenance

I don't know if this is in any way connected, Easynet are planning a circuit upgrade at the exchange

      http://www.easynet.net/support/statu...&maintenance=1

I have read on this forum that easynet are the maintenance men for skybb equipment, so is there any relevance to the above mentioned work, or will it only affect Easynet customers.

That's good news Johnny7 but I can't help but be a little jealous!! My activation appears to have been cancelled according to the bt website and I was thinking it was an exchange problem. Perhaps not....

      @ tuffjam

I have just spoken to Sky BB technical who tell me the High Wycombe exchange is only capable of speeds upto 6.5 meg. :-( despite this being one of the Easynet unbundled exchanges.

The Easynet Broadband Availability Checker appears to confirm a max speed of 8 meg.
