      broadband speed

      hi i have a problem, my broadband is very slow, im getting speeds of 200kb/s for downloads and 35kb/s for uploads. when i was on uk online i was getting full speeds for the 22mb broadband i had. can anyone help me. im on sky broadband Max. thanks

      Post back with your stats, taken from your normal position and from the Test socket, link below, if you have one.
      Can you also confirm how long you have been connected to to Sky Broadband?

      Ouch, you're capped HEAVILY. Out of curiosity, are those stats from the test socket?

      You'll need to contact sky [08442 410515] and get the cap lifted. Make sure (or at least say...) you're connected to your test socket, tried a different filter and are not using any extension cables. You'll be passed to CST where the cap can be lifted.

      I think they possibly have you on the wrong package. These look like Base stats. As suggested, phone Sky and ask if they will trouble-shoot your speed.

      If your master socket has a horizontal line running along the middle of the face then lower half is removable and will reveal the test socket. See Sky User - How to test your Master Socket

      The Test socket will isolate any problems you may have with your own internal wiring..
