      Noise Margin/Line Attenuation

      Evening All,

I have no idea what either of those mean!

Im on Connect and like many other people ive been getting slow page load ups and terrible download speeds (1hr to download a program) which would usually around 2-3 mins.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if my stats are ok, cheers.

Hi here`s some information on Noise Margin/Line Attenuation
Noise Margin/Line Attenuation you can do some Bt Test Result speed tests to see to see the difference

You could also reboot your router when your noise margin is low. This should allow it to resync at a lower speed with a better noise margin. Each time the margin falls below 7 reboot it, it will eventually find its best stabe speed. You might find that although your sync speed is lower, your actual throughput improves, as there will be less errors to correct.

Might also worth adding that connect customers suffer from appalling traffic shaping on their download speeds during peek times. There are several threads on this matter
