Arrow Sky Connect Package...Please Help !

I am on the Sky Connect Package and have just requested my MAC Code as I am unable to get any of the other Sky BB Packages.

On the Sky Connect Package, I am able to get speeds of 2mb despite BT's speed test checker advising of a maximum 1mb connection.

The problem is I have looked on SamKnows and get the following information for my exchange:

SamKnows Broadband - Availability - Perth (ESPER) Exchange

The companies who have a LLU presence are as follows:

      AOL
      Talk Talk
      Orange
      C & W/Bulldog

All of these operator's websites show that a maximum of 1mb being achieveable. However, Talk Talk show 3.3mb being achieveable ?

If I opt to go with one of these companies, will my speed improve ???

Post your stats and we will give you an idea what you could expect. From your Test socket, link below, would be best if you have one.

I'm not sure how TalkTalk calculate the speeds, because they told me i'd get 7.7MB when every other said i would get 2MB.

Take your stats when plugged into the Test socket . Go to the router settings Status page and click the Show Statistics button. Copy and paste the results here.

Re: Sky Connect Package...Please Help !

You have a very long line and would possible get a bit over 2Mbs on LLU. I doubt very much that TalkTalk could give you 3.3Mb. TalkTalk use a fully unbundled LLU, which includes the phone line. Once you have signed up for them you have a lot of difficulty getting out. I usually recommend TT when Sky is not available, they will be OK as long as you don't believe their inflated estimate. Anything between 2 and 3 Mb would be good for your line.

Thanks....I would be happy if I could get the 1.8mb the router says....look at this speed test:

All I want is a 2mb connection....would I get this with any ISP that has LLU enabled my exchange ? If so, why do they all show 1mb max (apart from TT !)

Hi if you do a speed test the Bt speed test is what Sky look at plus as a Bt product you will get a more accurate test result. You can get all the information on (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users as Isitme say`s Anything between 2 and 3 Mb would be good for your line. you should be able to achieve that with LLU otherwise the same old Bt re-badged products
