This has been widely known about for ages.

If you take Sky Talk, then it should stay at 10 or do what a lot of other people as well as myself are doing, that I know of, move to O2 in December, as I don't want Sky Talk.

i am probably heading over with you to 02 in december.

whats the best way to organise notice periosd of my sky talk and broadband as to minimumise disruption and disconnection?

also do you know of any deals 02 might have around then?

Maybe because Sky prices increase in January

Even if you have Talk and Broadband, like I do? Thought they stayed the same price. Im still tempted to go back to BT anyways as Sky still charge for 0845 numbers and there is a line rental increase....and to cap it off..now they have messed around with the Broadband, Im only getting half the speed I was before the messing about...and no...I aint altered a thing on my setup. Come to think of it, Im with o2 mobile (contract) anyways, so that just maybe the better idea...BT and O2.

I don't really know, but when this was first aired I got the impression that the price was fixed till January 2010 and would go up thereafter. One thing is certain, if it does, Sky will loose a lot of customers for both Sky Talk and Broadband.

Reguardless of what happens in Jan , and my BB will go up to 15 a month then, I think in the furture those of us who wish to keep line rental away from Sky will get a much poorer deal, and the time will then come to consider a move (no O2 for me at the moment on my exchange)

The price rises actually happened in March this year, although those of us who met the criteria receive a discount of 5 a month until January.

If you have already Sky Talk, then the price you pay for your broadband now, will be the price you will pay in January 2010

      ie

      Unlimited

      - 10 with Sky Talk
      - 15 without Sky Talk

You could get the lower rate of 10 if you took out Sky Talk though.

The discount then runs out in January, so to give the notice, I will just migrate in December.

I could stay with Sky, but I could get exactly the same as what they offer, in fact a little better for half the price of 15 from O2

I didn't mind paying a tenner, but 15 is not as attractive as less than 8
