You are now heavily capped. This is what happens sometimes when you are not able to speak to CST directly, they get a garbled message and assume that the connection is dropping so reduce the speeds further when in fact the opposite is what you want.

Ring Sky tonight after 10:30pm and speak to CST who should sort it within a few minutes.

If you have a ticket number, you could ring now and they should put you through without too much delay.

I am not certain, but these look like Connect Stats. It could be a coincidence but can you check what package you are on. You will find your package details by logging into your MySky page in the Broadband section on the Left.

Scrub that. Just had a look at your earlier stats and you seem to be on Unlimited or DLM has run and set your upload a bit higher than it should have. You are very heavily capped so phone after 10.30 get through to CST and they will fix you in minutes.

Re: Broadband download speeds have dropped rapidly

hello all, well i did try again last night, and i eventually spoke to a really nice helpful chap.

I explained my situation for the 7th time, and he said the problem i was having was that "i hadnt spoken to him before" :-)

So after 5 mins of "reconfiguring my line" i ended back up to estimated 5 meg again, although its not acting constant and it is fluctuating between 470kbps to 510kbps which it never used to do, but i can hope it will settle down.

Its been ok since, so i hope thats the end of it.

Thank you all for your help though, its appreciated.

      Lee
