So does that mean i've got the best possible speeds untill they update my line to 20mb?
I think my line is still an 8mb max line so obviously have a good connection for that line. But im not sure how i can go around finding out when my lines going to be updated to the 20mb max line?
Is that to do with sky or bt? Because im not sure who to contact?

Your line will not get 20 Mb, it may get slightly more, maybe another 1 Mb. but that is about all, mainly as you appear to be slightly capped at the moment. Plug your router into your Test socket. link below, if you have one and post your stats here.

The only lines which will see any big improvement on Unlimited, are those that are syncing at 16Mb or very near it at the moment and also have a good noise margin.

The upgrading has nothing to do with BT. It is simply Sky lifting existing caps which restrict the line to 16Mb. For most users it will not make one little bit of difference.

Oh i see, yeah i'll check it out now thanks.
I simply thought as i live on a new estate my line needed updating. My best friend lives 1/4 of a mile away gets 1432kbps download and 575kbps upload but lives in an older terraced house in the town centre.
Would it not be anything to do with that?

It is simply down to the length of your line, unless your internal wiring is very bad. Your friends line is probably much shorter and although he is only a few hundred yard from you, your line could be routed entirely differently.
