      Activation Delays

Just a quick plea for help/advice.

I was due to be activated on 19th September, but to date this has still not happened.
I did phone SKY last Wednesday and was told it was due to BT exchange problems. I then had a phone call from SKY on Thursday morning and was told that I should be activated within the next 4/5 days.
At present I still have nothing.

This is a brand new line, as I moved into the house in July and have been relying on dial-up ever since.

Checking the BT order tracker I keep getting the same message - "We weren't able to retrieve your order information. This could be a temporary system issue, please try again later. "
The order still says that it will be provided by 19th September!

Is there any point me phoning SKY, or do I just have to wait?

      Thanks

      Clive

      Hi Clive

That date on the checker will never change and I would give it a few more days and see what happens if you are willing to wait if not then call them again.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

Soken to CS again - still BT's fault and still no sign of an end in sight.
Only 10 days since my activation date.

She did say that BT are advising them to advise customers of up to 7 days delay, but she'e not doing that as she's well aware that the delays are now stacking up to be quite a bit longer than that.

      Another weekend with just dial-up......

Just like me in many ways signed up on the 16th August wasn't activated due to exchange problems until 28th Sept but hopefully you will be up and running quick good luck, I did contact Sky nearly everyday which helped my frustration.

I hope there is an end to your problems sooner rather than later Clive.
