      Who should I go with?

I am just about to call and cancel my Sky Talk and Sky Connect broadband and just wondered what broadband provider I should use.

This is my local exchange, Sky advised I was too far away to get anything decent.

If you have O2 LLU go with them.

Re: Who should I go with?

I have heard good reports about Be, speedwise that is.

I will have to call them both but I guess they will only be able to offer the 3.5mb or whatever it is because of the distance from the exchange!

Re: Who should I go with?

Be and O2 use the same network but different servers, I went with O2 as they have very helpful customer service and I have found o2 to be very cheap and I have great line stability.

I would go with Virgin cable if you can, the only reason why I am on ADSL is because I cant get cable here

Re: Who should I go with?

I wish I could get virgin cable, it is not in the area

I have it at my parents house (Where I am moving from) so it is going to be painful!

Re: Who should I go with?

depends where you are. I'm in Milton Keynes and a few of my friends are having MANY issues with O2. So not a good move to O2 if you live in MK. I'm liking the look of BE though.

Re: Who should I go with?

I would stay with Sky if you can't get cable, as I am an IT Technician and have tried a few ADSL providers, and even thought they all advertise a different speed, they all can only provide what your BT line can take, dipending on how old the line is, how far you are from the exchange and what the exchange supports, to check the last one, see SamKnows Broadband - Availability - Exchange Search

      ISP To stay away from:
      - BT
      - Pipex, TalkTalk
      - Any Mobile provider (O2, Orange, T-Mobile and so on)
      - Any 3G Services

      Some words of advice:
      - Check Bandwidth limit per month
      - Check Speed capping (some ISP use speed capping at busy times of day)
      - Check Cancellation fees (most ISP will charge you for early cancellation)
      - Check Contract term (Most are 12 months or more)
