Depends what time you call, calling in the evening after 10pm can sometimes get you straight through no bother. Having said that I've never had to wait more than 10 mins during the day either.

Cheers, on the hands free so just hot under the collar!
All because the connection is slow and has been dropping right down sometimes, when I took it out a couple of years ago it was about 3Mb now it's 1.3Mb
      Seriously thinking about dropping them....

      Re: Customer Solution Waiting Time

try starting a thread in the broadband help section, we may be able to help you out if you can post details such as:
      Router stats
Where router is connected e.g. master socket or an extension
Type of master socket - old type or new with removal faceplate (2 screws to remove bottom half of plate)

You can get your stats by logging onto http://192.168.0.1
      Username: admin
      Password: sky

The click "show statistics" and copy and paste the details into your forum post. (do the stats from the current location where the router is plugged in & from the test socket (under the faceplate on your master socket) Sky User - How to test your Master Socket

Chances are that you have some noise on your line from either poor internal wiring or an external fault.

Even if you move ISP you will still have it so best to get that sorted before doing anything else.

As advised, post your router stats from the current position and also from the test socket (see my sig for details).

      Re: Customer Solution Waiting Time

It will be ok to post here won't it?
Currently connected in the test socket on the new type of master socket.
However it doesn't matter whether it's connected in the test, master or extension and wired or wireless.
      Stats are as follows,

      System Up Time 50:10:04
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 520765 323004 0 510 1196 48:21:37
      LAN 10M/100M 186974 168252 0 997 196 50:10:01
      WLAN 11M/54M/108M 159466 372593 0 252 356 50:09:53

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 1344 kbps 320 kbps
Line Attenuation 55.0 db 31.5 db
Noise Margin 17.6 db 14.0 db

1st level broadband help have said there is no problem on the exchange, I hung up on waiting for Customer Solutions after 1hr 15mins.

      Cheers

      Re: Customer Solution Waiting Time

Ring them again after 10:30pm tonight, it should be a bit quicker, tell them you have improved your wiring and would like the speed increased, you should get quite a bit more.

I would imagine 4-5mb, keep it in the test socket when you speak to them.
