      Error 200 = Can't Authenticate
Error 300 = No Ip address

I'd phone up again and ask them if there is any usage problems like maybe missed a bill or something like that. It can happen.

Dont think its that as pay DD and all is working apart from slow webtimes...

i'll wait for Sky to ring me and if they dont put in an official complaint as might do anyway about the Tech support not understanding english when you ring them

he put me in a queue for Tier 2 who can help????
I think it is CST and not Tier 2, unless they have changed their naming procedure again. They are the only ones who can help you, if you don't wait your turn in the queue you will get nothing done. Phoning late, after 10.30 pm, is said to be the best time to call.

      Re: Slowness Problem

Think between me and a friend we now think its the DNS lookup thats causing a problem. Ive tried adding an alternative DNS and it does load it a bit quicker but not by much.

It seems its sites where i have a logon which seems to be hanging??

Any ideas and is there anything SKY can do as it has only started happening recently

      Re: Slowness Problem

What are your stats like now?

If you are syncing at over 4Mb, although it should be double that, you should be able to surf quite quickly. A few thing s to think about -
Are you running P2P software, it need not be Limewire or such, many of the iPlayers and even Spotify also use this.
Have you checked for malware? Trojans can also slow down your connection. Try running Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com.
Open a Command Prompt and run netstat /b make sure you recognise everything listed.
Try starting in Safe Mode with Networking, see if your speed improves.

      Re: Slowness Problem

its just 1 or 2 gaming sites that i use for my clan wars its slowed but since ive changed to another DNS on my net settings (not router) seems to have speeded it up a bit

Ran Malware had 1 little thing but nothing which would slow owt down.

not running anything that dont normally run and everything used to be fast

From what ive read SKY DNS has problems with some websites and untill they release new versions of the router they cant be changed without breaking the T&C's
