      Please have a look, and see if you can help

      Please can some one, help me, I think I should be getting a faster upload and download speed.
      Are these the right stats which I have posted.

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 3072 kbps 768 kbps
      Line Attenuation 57.0 db 31.5 db
      Noise Margin 7.2 db 11.0 db

      looks like your syncd about right to me. You're a long way from your exchange (probably around 4.2km)

      Thats right Iam about 4km.
      I have also just had a letter from sky, to tell me on the 12th August they are going to improve the network, to new state of the art network!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      Do you think I will get better speeds then?

      Not at that distance I expect. All you can do is make sure your internal wiring is as good as it can be and see if that helps.

      Iam straight off the sockett as it comes in the house, and I have changed the face plate, to the one which was reccommended on this site.
      So it looks as if that is it, have to make do with 3mg.

      You are on G.DMT at the moment, when your line is tested as it will be soon, you will be moved to ADSL2+. Depending on your line you may get an small improvement in speed, but more often this Mode does not work too well on long lines. No one can tell until the testing is done. This is what Sky are referring to with their new state of the art network!.
