Attenuation at 14db is brill however the SNRM of 7db screams line issues even though he lives close to the exchange. Sky SNR target is 6.9db so the OP isn't going to gain any more speed than what he currently has.

Through Investigation is required firstly with the whole internal set-up.
I do find this confusing from the OPs original statement and I quote.

"there is no difference in the Test Socket and i have tried to replace all of the filters and wires. I only have the one socket in my house and i am not using any extensions." which seems somewhat contradictory.

So from your Master socket where the BT drop wire enters your house. What do you have from that socket?
Apologies for my wording, i meant by filters and wires, the broadband filter and the wire from the router tt the filter! there are no other wires!

So from the master socket - Filter - Router plugged into filter and sometimes house phone!

Am i getting the right sync speed

Just one further point, do you have another PC or laptop you can try?
I couldn't find my old post, so thankyou! Sky weren't willing to do anything about this before and i had left it afew months, but when i had seen they had raised there BB from 16 to 20 mb i was like, i am not happy with 10mb

I have tried other laptops or computers!

But on a positive note i looked at my stats last night and my down sync was at 19650 and my up sync was at 813 (will post Full stats later)

So my new phone calls with sky must have made a difference but being a pesimist shouldn't my up sync be 1300 mb ????

Many thanks for all your assistance so far!

I tested my broadband speed by using the http://www.ip-details.com/.
      It's useful for me.

I tested my broadband speed by using the IP-Details.com : Find your IP address Information.
      It's useful for me
That tester uses Speedtest.net, which is crap, it's location finder is not much good either, it puts me in NE London

If you want an accurate locater, use Who is your ISP, link below, it will put you within a few miles of your actual location.
