      Upload speeds

      Hi I am looking to get an increase in my upload speed any suggestions i have pasted my router stats was looking at getting virgin

      your download and upload will definatly increase when your line goes through DLM again as from your stats you have plents noise margin to use up. Looks like you'll hit the 10Mb download and 600Kb limits.

      Are those stats taken from your test socket (if you have one)? If not take them from there and re-post, then we can see what you might expect if you upgraded to sky unlimited.

      Hi thanks for quick reply these stats were from the router i dont seem to have master socket like thew pic very old wiring it comes in to the house a connects to a rectangular shaped box which has a screw in middle then goes to a normal socket Will say the box has gpo stamped on it

      Your stats look pretty good as they are, but if you have extensions, you may get an improvement if you open the Master socket and remove the wire from the No 3 terminal. This is the ring wire used by old steam phones and is no longer required.

      At the moment you are on G.DMT(ADSL1) Sky are testing all their lines with ADSL2+, when this happens your upload and download speeds will increase. If you want more than 600kbps upload sync, which will give you about 500 actual upload, you will have to upgrade to Unlimited.
