You need to post your router stats from where it is connected now, and from the test socket (if you have one)

You already know how to get onto your router so once your on click the "show statistics" button and paste the details here.

Then do the same with your router connected to the test socket (see link for details)

I'm not quite sure what your issue is. Your synching at around 6Mb and your download speeds are marginally less which is quite normal. Try connecting direct via ethernet to see if you can improve your throughhput speed. Also try a different speed tester, maybe the one on this site.

Re: Line can now handle better speeds.. what do i do?

As you say in the 'proper socket you are syncing at over 8Mbps, which is the most you will achieve.
BTW Are you on the Mid/Everyday or Connect package?

      It's 6Mbps not 8.

Re: Line can now handle better speeds.. what do i do?

Yeah its very weird since putting into test socket it tells me i can get 8mbps, broadband checker tells me 5.5mb, and speed tests are 4-4.5.. weird

Ignore the checker and the speed test sites, your sync is what you should be getting, are you on wireless?

      Ummm 8128 kbps?

Plug into your master test socket and post your routerstats again.

If you do any more speedtests use an Ethernet connection to the router, NOT wireless.
