      update on bizzare internet activity

so i'm sitting at my computer downloading via utorrent and i notice that the download speed has gone through the roof when compared to normal (on max package) I got up to 1000kB/s when i first bought the package, and since it's been going at 250-310kB/s, this morning it managed 700kB/s for a short time, but then dropped back down to about 150kB/s, will post old and new stats below

      Old stats (sorry about format)

Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 3382609 4976064 0 14168 344978 5:06:42
      LAN 59 0 0 0 0 5:07:41
      WLAN 4982038 3393762 0 354730 17090 5:07:13
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3072 kbps 796 kbps
Line Attenuation 40.5 db 20.5 db
Noise Margin 9.6 db 14.5 db

New stats (again, sorry about format)

Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 894693 1296958 0 3437 36360 6:37:47
      LAN 5464 4617 0 0 0 166:54:07
      WLAN 729185| 5451881| 0 | 0 | 4109 |166:53:39
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 6651 kbps 796 kbps
Line Attenuation 40.0 db 20.6 db
Noise Margin 11.0 db 12.5 db

the 600kB/s speed doesn't seem to last long, comes in a burst when i open utorrent then dissipates once it reaches a certain point
is it normal for connection speed to change at will? TYVM for your interest, happy for any feedback

Well your line stats have improved but that's not it.

Are you using wireless, also some torrents will be better seeded than others so will come down faster.

Re: update on bizzare internet activity

yep i'm on wireless, that might be the problem, but it's not the torrents-most have more seeds than leechers and it's multiple that get burst then drop, all within 2 minutes of utorrent starting

*EDIT* speed stays stable with vuze, but still curious as to the quick change in speed
