      Sky Broadband Connection

      Hi
      I just moved into a new property and called up sky to transfer my exsisting phone connection and broadband to this new property .
      At the time of taking the request they were very positive and said I will have BB with 2-3 days after line is activated.

      Now today when I called them up saying its been 24 hrs since line got activated , can you switch on the BB ... their answer was there is fault in the xchange and will take up to 3 weeks .. What crap is this - I work from home and am stuck with using a dongle and now another 3 weeks.

      My question is -

      Is this normal waiting time for a BB to be activated even when you have given enough notice

      Also will they charge me for the time I have not had BB..

      Really furstated here - every rep at sky gives difft answer.,

      well - working from home gets no sympathy from Sky as business use is prohibited under the T&Cs...

      as for exchange issue - quite feasible and depending on the issue might take a while...
