      unlimited limit?

      hi

i've been with sky for about 4 months now on the unlimited package very happy with everything but after many years with tiscali on an unlimited package which really wasn't i'm neurotic that when sky say unlimited they don't really mean it either. I'm a high use user upto 150gb per month but mostly between 12am and 6am. is there anyone who can put my mind at ease and tell me that this much a month really isn't a problem and i'm not going to get cut off

      thanks cakes

or is it? From their FAQ is says:

Unlimited is unlimited, (No Fair Use Policy).

But deep in the T&C's is:

      ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

Irrespective of which Product you have subscribed to, our Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") will apply to you and those who you allow to use Sky Broadband.

If you have any queries about our AUP, you can contact us by emailing abuse@sky.com.

Notice the subtlety bewteen 'fair use' and 'acceptable use'.

In all honestly, I think the AUP relates to using the connection for dodgy activities as opposed to the amount you download.

Just be aware you'll breaking your contract's terms for using this service for anything other than home use.

150gb? That's a lot of groceries!!! iPlayer is my downfall normally. I tend to watch it through my PS3 aswell so the bandwidth tool doesn't pick it up.

      Re: unlimited limit?

lol most of the usage is watching baseball online and for itunes but i depend on my connection for things like getting my shopping and paying bills and that is why the thought of losing it makes me neurotic, i assume that they would contact me to tell me if they thought my use was excessive before they took action
