      Sky advertise 20MB

I saw on SKY's website that they are advertising 20MB broadband. i remember last year/before it was "up to 16MB", and I am currently getting 14.5MB which I am happy about.

however now they say up to 20MB - is this actually true? if so - do you think there is a way I can get that? I know it depends on how far you are from the exchange, the network connectivity etc.. etc... but I am as close to 16MB as I can be.... so now if they have up to 20MB, think I can get up to around 16MB/17MB ?

Post your router stats and we should be able to give you an idea.
If your attenuation is less than 25ish there is a good chance you can get more.

Sorry, you are at the limit for an attenuation of 33.

Not with attenuation of 33.5 I don't think you will benefit to be honest. Anything below 20db attenuation might.

yeh thought so ah well. thanks!

is there a way of improving the attenuation? or is that due to the distance from the exchange?

It would be cheaper to get them to run fibre to the exchange, 100mb+

      Re: Sky advertise 20MB

well why dont they do that ?
I dont understand why they are now advertising up to 20MB when really, no one can get more than say 16MB simply because of the distance of the exchange and their house.... only people who live closer can pretty much achieve up to that... but people further away... no go.
