      Changing package question

Just a quickie guys. I have a friend who wants to move from Everyday to Unlimited because of the new caps that have been put in place. Question is, will moving open another 12 month contract?

      Thanks.

Shot answer no, if he upgrades online from My Sky, it actually says that by upgrading you are not entering a new contract.

      Re: Changing package question

If they start emailing me saying I have gone over my cap, i'll be giving 10 days notice.

I never hit it when I was on mid - I certainly won't be doubling my price just to get unlimited - thaat is exactly what they want.

I'm afraid that a carrot on a stick that is faster speed is not justification for the reduced cap frankly.

Well observed - technically I am on mid but was getting a fixed speed of 2meg - went to tech support and after a lot of fiddling around, My speed went up. After I got around to testing it, I noticed it was sync'd up at 16meg and tests at around 14meg.

All I know is that I am on mid on my bill - as to what usage I am on, is anyone's guess - I am just waiting for the new line testing to take place and a big red alarm starts ringing at sky's end!!!

      Re: Changing package question

exactly - once DLM kicks in it's back to 8/10Mbps you go...obviously a CST agent not paying attention to your package...

funny story, had someone call in with a slow speed on Base, syncing at 8Mbps!!! told them speed will now be getting quite a bit slower and they kicked off, asking for compensation!!!

      the cheek of some people...
