      Sudden drop in broadband speed

      Hi,
I have today experienced a sudden drop in broadband speed, to the point that it can take ages for some pages to load, if they do at all. I have tried restarting the router and also restarting my computer. No wiring has been changed and the router is connected to the socket by only a short cable as everything else is connected wirelessly. I am on the MAX Broadband package and my router is the Netgear DG934. Below are the stats for my router:

      NetGear DG934 [Sky Firmware] V2-Black

      System Up Time: 00:21:26
      PortStatusTxPktsRxPktsCollisionsTx B/sRx B/sUp Time
      WANPPPoA1950417993027561573800:20:39
      LAN100M/Full1200010000:21:21
      WLAN11M/54M1813319873015691273600:21:08
      ADSL LinkDownstreamUpstream
      Connection Speed2833 kbps764 kbps
      Line Attenuation50 db29 db
      Noise Margin8 db9 db

I was getting 6.4 Mb/s but now only getting 2.31 Mb/s. If anyone could give any advice, it would be very appreciated.
      Many thanks
      Ian

Do you have a test socket (see sig for details) if so get the stats from there and post them.

      Hiya smithy99,

Well unless you have a line fault I don't think you can get much better.
