The drop in NM on the master socket seems to point to your internal wiring causing some issues.

I would consider buying an NTE5 master socket and filtered faceplate. It is an easy job to DIY.

If not, you could remove all the other extensions from the current master socket as a test, you can always put them back again if you have to.

Also ensure that no wires are connected to terminal 3, you don't need them and it can cause noise on the line.

Re: New broadband really slow

That seems to have improved your speed and you have a higher NM so you may see 1.5-2mb yet

Re: New broadband really slow

It may improve again if you fit an NTE5 master socket and filtered faceplate but you won't know until you try it.

Re: New broadband really slow

Will this possibly make a difference, even if I have filters in every socket currently and the bell wire disconnected anyway? At the moment I have no extensions linked to the master socket which out of interest is a telewest socket with a BT UGC routing into it. Thank you so far for all your help!

Re: New broadband really slow

If nothing else is connected to it then it shouldn't make a difference although I'm not sure what a BT UGC thingy is.

Re: New broadband really slow

Under ground cable, I am in a new build where we are fed by a UGC not drop wires.
