      Yea steve its just that way now where I dont wanna keep asking questions about every little detail of my internet lol, I just always think the worst. I know ive been told to wait the 10 days for DLM and then post my stats but its been a week now and there has been pretty much no change to my stats apart from my upload increasing by about 59, I know 13308 download is good but im literaly across the road from the BT exchange and im paying for 20mb.

      Lewis go to my sky.com and then in the left pane select BROADBAND then SERVICE DETAILS check to see if its update. Should tell you if the DLM has finished on your line.

      Hey Joss I phoned up sky and they told that my DLM finished yesterday and my speed is just the same Ive not eben able to get into my broadband on mysky since I joined. I changed the router so it is connected to my test socket and here are the results.

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 13308 kbps 1002 kbps
      Line Attenuation 10.0 db 4.5 db
      Noise Margin 10.3 db 8.0 db

      What should I do phone up sky again and ask to talk to a Techguy and ask them to run DLM again, because the person I was just on the phone to helped me in no way.

      You need to get through to CST level 3 explain that you have completed the DLM process and that your not happy with the results. Its getting to the higher tier that's the problem. Its said best to try ringing after 10.30pm Lewis. but with your attenuation you should be near to maxing out your line.

      Yea I know, see when I get through to sky do you think I should ask to talk to a sky tech engineer ? Anyway thanks for all your help Joss and everyone else you are all diamonds lol

      Ok guys I think everything is sorted now, long story short I had the router in the secondary box and should have had it in the master and the DLM started 02/07 then stopped 06/07 the restarted this monring, so I phoned up and talked to a very helpful sky tech and basically she said that i can just cancel DLM and put you right upto 20 mb and she did, the only problem was that she said if the internet start becomming intermittent or the web pages stop loading then i might have to go back on DLM to stabilize it but I think my line should be able to support around 20 mb.

      Heres my brand new stats.

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 19873 kbps 998 kbps
      Line Attenuation 10.0 db 4.5 db
      Noise Margin 7.2 db 8.5 db

      I just hope they stay like this and my connection stays nice and stable, again i want to thank everyone who has helped me especially Joss who kept me sane with his logic and knowledge during this long process it seems.

      Best Forum for Broadband Help, No Flamerz, No Trollerz and No Sarcasm, Just helpful in everyway.
