      Re: Just Got Connected Help

I thought it was working, just not logging the speeds against you ISP or something.

      Re: Just Got Connected Help

Heres another quick little question for you guys, I know its hard to determine but do you think i would have the same noise margin as I did before I went on DLM,

      Downstream Upstream Before DLM
      19.1 db 23 db

Downstream Upstream During DLM (right now)
      7.9 db 7.5 db

p.s. I have asked alot of questions in this post to save me making different threads, im not just trying to get more views, replies etc lol.

no, because the speed has increased...if you had an SNR of 19 yet 20Mbps connection you'd live in the exchange!!!

Lewis its better to keep everything in one place in this instance. It is YOUR thread.
Now as you can see DLM is doing its job. It will push your line and try to find the best possible speed. SNR of 7.9db is fine, I think the default is around 6.9db for sky. With SNRM it can fluctuate. In the mornings it is generally higher until around 4.00pm time where it could start to drop. Mine does and at around 10.00pm it can be as low as 2db which is noise on the line beyond my control.
However the Sagem does a very good job of holding sync with a low SNR. In fact much better than my non sky DG834GT.

When DLM is finished Lewis report your stats .

Ah ok I understand now thanks Enemy

Yea its just when I read other posts on Skyuser and other forums that it seems that m noise margin is low.

See Joss im already starting to get the hang of it . Ok I promise not to post my stats again untill DLM is finished lol.

      Re: Just Got Connected Help

Is there anyway in which I can tell when the DLM has finished without relying on sky to send me confirmation through MySky ? As MySky for has no info for me:

      Your Connection Details

      Service unavailable

Sorry, this service is currently unavailable. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

Another thing guys have I dont something stupid here ? Because ive just moved into this flat I wasnt sure what was what but ive just realised that i currently have my modem/router connected up to my secondary BT box in the living room, the Master is in the bedroom. Now should I go ahead and connect it upto the Master Socket even though DLM is on or just leave it be till the DLM is finished.

I bet some of you guys will think ill never stop asking questions lol.
