      Can I go faster?

Ok I sent an email to sky 4 days ago about upgrading my mid package to max. Especially with the packages changing. They replied saying that I wont benefit from upgrading if it is for speed purposes and should only do it if i'm reaching the cap.

When I first got sky broadband I was told my line could only handle a maximum of 6mb/s and before i knew it i was achieving download speeds of around 7.5mb/s. So I don't know what was going on there.

I also looked on there website last week and it said i could achieve speed of 8-16mb/s

So basically I want to know if i can achieve around 15mb/s ( give or take a few megabits).

      Here are my line stats:
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8096 kbps 416 kbps
Line Attenuation 30.0 db 21.0 db
Noise Margin 15.6 db 14.0 db

Here is my exchange if it helps. I live around 800 meters from my exchange if thats usefull for you.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your line will definitely give much more, probably 12-14 Mb. You are on G.DMT now and are getting the maximum it can supply, upgrading will put you on ADSL2+, with a higher speed.

If you upgrade to Unlimited it will happen.
