Ok, erm, possibly a stupid point BUT i found that Macafee does all sorts of interesting things to my system, messing up my gmail for example. Basically any site thats cookie intensive gets futzed. So... erm... (dont wanna sound dumb here but) Tried acsessing these sites with Macafee switched off?

      Lightbulb

It is probably an issue with the MTU.

Try configuring the MTU by following the instructions here.

      Windows

      MacOS X
      http://www.adslnation.com/support/kn...base/ht004.php
      http://www.adslnation.com/support/kn...base/ht012.php

Try that and see if it helps.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

Thanks for this - will try it when I get home from work.

However, does MTU need to be set on both adaptor AND router. No idea what the MTU rate is on my adaptor, but the Sky router is already set to 1500 (iirc).

The odd thing is that the Xbox360 gets stuck at the MTU test when trying to diagnose the connection problem (which started the same time I got SkyBB).

The MTU test is the first test that the 360 runs which requires access to the MS Diagnosis server, so I assumed it was the same problem as I have trying to browse any microsoft run website, rather than an actual MTU problem.
