      Hi here are my stats, Ive been a SkyMax customer since it started but recently (the last week or so) I keep disconnecting.

      Ive used Mognuts tool and I sync the router at over 7.0 db but this doesnt seem to help.
      I used to have a steady 8-10mb connection that would stay up for days/weeks, now this is getting ridiculous can anyone help me?
      Im only 1.3km from the exchange (Sherwood Nottimgham) but things seem to be acting very strangely recently.

      Ive checked the master socket - in fact im conencted into that now and this doesnt help.

      Most days I used to dowmload from the net at 1MB a sec
      infact while submitting this the internet conenction went down for me

      What router are you using?
      Maybe if compatible you could use Routerstats to monitor your connection?

      Hi I think the op first thread was about loosing connection every 6mins now this thread is every 10mins ok the thread is about loosing connection, But two threads were called for especially as op only showing two posts I think the A team will be a great help Sorry Stuart for not giving any information you will get plenty a.m.

      Do you have a test socket? If you do then connect to that and get the stats again, you are getting noise on the line from somewhere. (see sig for test socket details).

      When you remove the faceplate, it is also worth removing any wires in terminal 3 on the rear of it, these are not needed but can cause problems.

      double post occured because net went down again on me and it didnt submit at my end

      im using the standard netgear dg834 that gets issued from sky

      as my post says im connected directly to the master socket testplate, and there are no redundant wires connected

      Have a look at your Broadband details on your MySky page, see if there is any report of the line training. It is not supposed to start till next week, but with Sky, you never know. How long have you had the 796 upload?

      Also, have you seen any BTO vans in your area, they may be working on or near your line.
