      Broadband Installation Query...

Got my Sky Max Broadband switched on today and my question is....

When i got Sky installed the engineer fiited little filter boxes at my phone points that go into the phone sockets first then the phoneline into them.

Now when im fitting my broadband i've got broadband filters. Do i fit these to the filters installed by the Engineer or do i remove the ones the Engineer installed and just use the ones that came with the Sky Broadband???

If this helps im with Sky Talk to....

      Cheers in advance

      Bellboy

if it's an adsl filter than it doesn't matter which you use...so long as they're on all sockets and are the first things going into said sockets...

the ones the engineer fitted are just phone line filters that plug into the socket and provide 2 connections for phone lines only.

should i remove these and just use the adsl filter directly into the phoneline???

will it effect my sky talk???

      cheers for the quick response.

right, in that case an adsl filter goes into socket first...everything else plugs into them...

the splitters are usually used when the Sky+ box is plugged into a socket normally used for a phone...

Those aren't filters but just an extension cable that presumably connects up your Sky box. As the previous poster says the ADSL filters that your got with your router should be the first thing plugged into your telephone socket.
