Re: Provisioned This Evening (Capped Already)

DLM runs for around 10 days and during that time it will reset the connection and hunt around for the fastest stable speed for your line.

It starts at 4mb and works it's way up so you will have to wait until it is finished.

Post your router stats and we should be able to get an idea of you maximum speed.

The OP should read his welcome letter as it should state DLM for approx 10 days.

I have not seen one of these letters, but here seem to be many who miss this bit. Maybe they should put it in bold red to draw attention to how important it is. Several members have come on here saying they have been switching off their router, not knowing that it would damage their connection speed

Re: Provisioned This Evening (Capped Already)

4Mbps down/512kbps is the Max provision speed - DLM will then raise this in the next 10-odd days...

I actually did get a letter giving DLM details when I joined. I also found out that under My sky.com you can view it under Broadband > service details. Not many folk know you can view such info there I guess.

Re: Provisioned This Evening (Capped Already)

It seems to happen most when new Customers install the Sky router from the disc, on the disc tells you to turn of router to save energy. I was told Sky would be putting a sticker on bottom of the router saying leave router on. I wonder if Sky have put a sticker on the routers they are sending out now

Good point! This information should also be in the letter.

Re: Provisioned This Evening (Capped Already)

Hmmm never had a Welcome pack , but not to worry , they did send me a sagem F@st router this time and not the DG934 thank god as i belive the F@st has a broadcom chip way better than the AR7 and basicaly the same as my DG834Gv4 so line is nice and stable with an 13dB snr @ 4096 so hopefully DLM will up my speed soon .
