New customers are always now initially capped before DLM starts - 3Mb for Mid customers and 4Mb for Max. Those stats of his reflect the new starting point for Max customers.
So I was correct in my last paragraph?

Re: Provisioned This Evening (Capped Already)

Well i asked for max delays to be reduced and it seems they have uncapped me as well

Connection Speed 4992 kbps 768 kbps
Line Attenuation 51.0 db 31.5 db
Noise Margin 8.0 db 15.0 db
Would i gain from a switch to ADSL2+ , maybe 1mb 1.5mb , will they do this is another question

Re: Provisioned This Evening (Capped Already)

the delays are set to 8s be default (sometimes 16s) so if your DLM wasn't complete you might've just got someone in trouble...

Re: Provisioned This Evening (Capped Already)

Wasn't my aim to get anyone in trouble , just asked for max delays to be reduced (gaming) and DLM to be reset . If they have turned off DLM then i'm sorry if have got someone in trouble as it was not my intention to do so

I don't mind it being turned back on , but max delays was my main aim as 50ms to BBC was massive

Re: Provisioned This Evening (Capped Already)

Ok maybe something has gone a bit weird here and may have got someone in trouble

Just had a look in my sky and this

Line connection testing completed on 17/06/2009
      Download Speed

Your connection has been set to a download speed of up to
      4.0Mb (4096Kb)
      Upload Speed

Your connection has been set to an upload speed of up to
      0.5Mb (512Kb)
Even though i'm connected @ 4.9 if i reboot will it be fixed at said rate above ?

      Mark

Re: Provisioned This Evening (Capped Already)

I think it is just a case of the website being behind 'real life'. The agent has seen the DLM had finished and not given a good result. He has then moved you to G,DMT and upped your speed. If you were having delays set at the same time he may have had to cap your speed to stabilise the line. You will not know that for sure until you reboot a few times. Looks like you got one with more than air between his ears.

Re: Provisioned This Evening (Capped Already)

LOL No problems then , but a change to ADSL2+ could be an option , or should i just leave be and not rock the boat and end up with problems (line has and is good enough for ADSL2+) . I had no problems with plusnet on fastpath , always held but did have a few problems with 21CN but i think that was just due to BT being arses .

Can agents swittch this or would i be told to talk to the hand lol

well, you won't get fastpath on Sky LLU as Sky have never offered it...I'd be leaning on the side of caution and leave it for the time being...
