Hey all, first time poster long time viewer, i too have the same problems you guys are experiencing i hope it gets fixed soon.
I've emailed xbox support & sky support for what good it will do.
I've tried changing router so i can use a different DNS but it did not work.

      Re: Xbox.com

      Hello chaps,

I haven't been on here for a long while as I've been busy running my own site.

However, the link between Xbox and Sky Player sounds plausible but at the same time ridiculous. If it were only Sky BB customers that were going to be able to access it I might be inclined to agree, however Sky would have to setup arrangements with all ISP's you would think?

Perhaps I'm wrong, I don't get on Xbox Live so much now, but xbox.com is seriously slow right now.

PSN is not affected for me, nor is any web browsing that I've found, so I'd be inclined to think (obviously), that somewhere between the two there is a problem.

I'll be keeping a beady eye on this thread

      Re: Xbox.com

ok I'm on the phone to sky broadband now and to be honest its yet again another appealing call, been on for 35 mins and shunted to 4 different operators, I'm now being told that , and get this..its nothing to do with sky BB I have to give xbox a ring...
I have just gone mad at them and said its not, I have run a trace and its clear its a problem they just dont seem bothered with...heres my trace just 5 mins ago, and has been since tuesday.

Still on hold, and still they have no clue. whats happening, so guys this is not a good sign.

      Just to finish with here,
I have hung up as the BB supposed tech has just told me that , they dont provide anything to investigate this, its not there problem.

I then suggested they are now working with xbox to provide the player in the autumn...her reply..you will have to wait until then,
So guys looks like we have no line to xbox until they do this.

Its bloody pathetic, she also said she couldn't run a trace on her PC.....I hung up, before I said something I would regret.

Is anybody actually going to get this sorted....

lol online works for gaming I have tried it, to be honest I haven't been able to buy anything from either marketplace since tuesday..soon as MS work this out..I can assure you it will be fixed.

Also more info from me, its being linked to the up coming sky player on the xbox, and also the 24 hour downtime on the 16th that MS have planned, so maybe should be sorted then.

The xbox.com website actually loads up fine for me no problem but can be very slow at times, like now actually... have you tried gaining access through web based proxy? any luck if you have ?..

      Re: Xbox.com

ok I am a ukonline user (ukonline also affected as uses easynet network same as sky) and I compared my tracert to one of the ones posted here.

The result was no internal easynet routers used were the same and the first duplicate hop was NYIIX.AS8075.MSN.NET [198.32.160.191].

My guess is MSN equipment is the problem not easynet's.

Those saying well its only sky users affected so it cannot be a microsoft problem try to realise the routing equipment is a web of variable paths, it could well be the router that is broken is only routing sky/easynet traffic.

Also what leads me to believe its not easynet's end is easynet tend to fix routing problems fairly quickly when they occur and this has been ongoing for days now.

Has anyone here called xbox support and given them the tracert reports, i tried to explain it to them and even pointed them here but my technical understanding of networking is ZERO i'm afraid.

      Mark.
