What is strange, if it is a Sky problem, is that I can access all marketplace content on the US Live marketplace which should be slow too as accessing it thru Sky BB

It may not be Skys' side by look of it, just tracert'ed from my sky connection and the drop out in response is on the other side of the pond and it's not a small increase in response time either. Approx triple the response time as it was just before 4pm.

it's only affecting sky customers so its up to them to look into it,has anyone reported it?

I rang sky yesterday and reported to them that i was having problems with my xbox 360 accessing the marketplace and that it was very very very slow, however my PC's are working perfectly, they basically said to me that they DO NOT support Game consoles and that they cannot help me with the connection problem, so i ran an internet search and found some ports to forward to the xbox, but these did not work, my download speed for the PC's is astronomical, but xbox360 it is non existant, i have had an error code on xbox 80072746, so i searched it, and found that some ppl think it may be a router problem but i only had this router for 2days ..... anyone with any ideas as sky dont wanna help???

It's not the router, if you read back the thread it seems to be a routing issue and Sky do not support gaming in anyway through the tech support lines so calling up with an Xbox issue will only go one way. The only people that will be interested in this would be the network guy and contacting them is best done with the kana form.
Have you tried a tracert / traceroute to the xbox site?

So will Sky start supporting the Xbox when the Sky player blade is launched later this year?
Because if not they will be shooting themselves in the foot big time.

"I can't watch Sky anymore it's broken"
"What are you watching it on?"
"my Xbox 360"
"oh we don't support those, why don't you get a nice Sky box instead....."
Why not try and see if MS can help you and at least their help number is free on 0800 587 1102 or +44 20 7365 9792 from a mobile phone as it seems to be a marketplace issue.
On the front of Xbox.om there is a big thing about the new Sky service just hope Sky can be ready for it.I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

It will probably be handled by the same group that handle sky player now. Viewing using a service online is handled by a department that is seperate to the BB tech support line.

Yea i just ran the tracert and it timed out on the 15th hop, im just glad it isnt me having this problem i was on the verge of smashing it lol
