Talking Its arrived - but questions ?

Well hit me with a sock full of wet sand.....

My SKY BB is up and working... Twiice the speed at 5th of the price (Was paying 26.99/month to BT) and I am (at the moment) getting a peed that I was always told by BT was unobtainable.

      Questions though:

      1. Can't log into the SKY portal (want to get to my new @sky.com email address. When I log in the page just returns to the login page again with blank username and password box. odesnt; say anything like using a duff username or password

      2. Working fine 'hard wired' to my desktop using the yellow RJ45 cable, but not connecting wirelessly to my lap top.

Icon in the systray has a little yellow ball bobbling about in front and is seeking network address. (No doubt my IT techie son can sort this out for me tonight before we watch the beloved Arsenal).

Not sure what else yet, have not had enough use yet to spot anything else.

      Any offerings of help appreciated.

The wireless problem may be due to you needing to put the WPA (Network Key) into the settings for the laptop wireless adaptor. For older Netgear adaptors (which mine is) you need to click the 'Advanced' button to bring up the option to add the WPA code. Mine worked fine after that.

if the portal brings you back to same page it means the username or password was wrong, no page for that yet, dont know whats taken them so long.

try zero instead of the letter o and vice versa as this usualy solves the issue, if not remember the portal is still a bit iffy.

with regards to your wireless problem if you have an older dongle or card that doesnt wpa just change the router to wep 128

good to see your up and running.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
