      Now that I think of it, this might be why the Sky installation CD kept saying I wasn't connected even though I was happily browsing the internet.

      E: Nevermind, it's solved now. Even though my hosts file seemed to be unchanged from the Windows default, swapping it for a freeware version fixed the problem.

      If you have not yet done so, I would advise downloading a set of security programs, including all of the above. Burn these to a CD so that you have them ready for future use.
