Just thought I'd post my stats up so you can check things over for me and see if anything else needs to be done.

Hey thanks for the quick reply Smithy!

I've just checked my master socked and the bell wire is connected. Should I disconnect this now or wait for DLM to finish? I'm trying very hard not to disturb the router

Personally I would dis the bell wire, it caused me loads of problems in the early days. If DLM has only just started it shouldn't make much odds.

Pull out the bell wire at the master socket end, it will do no harm and should make things even better.

Re: New Max User (DLM Started Today)

Ok so disconnected the bell wire lastnight and checked my stats but they didn't change.

Check stats again this evening when I got back from work and the router has sync'd.

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 12280 kbps 1016 kbps
Line Attenuation 18.0 db 8.1 db
Noise Margin 14.3 db 8.0 db

As you can see the upstream has gone up a fair bit but downstream has stayed the same.

That's ok, DLM will still be doing it's thing. Still looking like an easy 16mb speed when it's finished.

It did do something, your noise margin has gone up which is even better for your speeds.

Re: New Max User (DLM Started Today)

Just checked my "Service details" and it says my line testing has finished (5 days early)

      Your connection details
Line connection testing completed on 08/06/2009

      Download Speed
Your connection has been set to a download speed of up to
      12.0Mb (12288Kb)

      Upload Speed
Your connection has been set to an upload speed of up to
      1.3Mb (1312Kb)

These are my final stats from the router

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 12280 kbps 1016 kbps
Line Attenuation 18.0 db 8.1 db
Noise Margin 14.2 db 7.5 db

Is my line being capped by Sky?

Seems weird how DLM has finished 5 days early?????

Re: New Max User (DLM Started Today)

Your line appear to have been capped. Phone Sky and ask them to manually configure your line as DLM has not left it with its best speed. You should get 16Mbs easily. If you are told you are getting as much as you can, hang up and try again.
