New user...comments welcome on my "speeds"

I have put "speeds" in inverted commas as I do not think the Trades Description people would let me post otherwise.

      Here they are
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 135 kbps 133 kbps
Line Attenuation 23.0 db 10.9 db
Noise Margin 32.7 db 34.7 db

I'm supposed to be on MAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have changed my channel to 13 and am currently plugged in to the test socket.
      terminal 3 is not connected.
I have already had a router replaced and this current one has been running since Friday. I expected some slower speeds at first but surely these are bl@@dy atrocious.

When I first ran the Install CD the checking connection did not finish and came up with ' you arent connected yet'. Sky have told me this doesnt matter and as I am able to get onto the Internet and see my wireless network I suppose they must be right?

Sorry to witter on....just bl@@dy fed up..My previous AOL connection worked perfectly fine ...my only reason for changing is that I couldn't play online poker after 1715 due to server issues....

      Hope you can all help...

As Iante says, something has screwed up the line. Ring Sky and run through the slow speed troubleshooting with st line support, they should then let you talk to CST who will sort it out at the flick of a switch.

Have the router plugged into the test socket (or at least say you have) to speed things up. When you are talking to 1st line, be polite and tell them that you are happy to try their suggestions over the phone but you want to speak to CST once you have done so (CST are the only ones who can make the needed line alterations).

You should be able to see your sync speed rise and your NM fall as they are doing it so don't be fobbed off with it may take a few days etc.

Sometimes 1st line ring through to CST and they do it without the need for you to talk to them, this is fine as long as you see your speeds increase and you NM lower to nearer the 7db mark.

You should see around the full 16mb

Thanks for your help and prompt replies.

TBH I've been dealing with then via email and getting nowhere. Did as you both suggested and believe the figures to be ever sooooooo slightly better
Connection Speed 15100 kbps 506 kbps
Line Attenuation 23.0 db 10.9 db
Noise Margin 7.3 db 25.2 db

Once again thanks...your help is much appreciated

Yes, e-mails takes quite some time to be read and acted on by the relevant people.

It's now just to be hoped that they don't get the e-mail and reset the line
