      To be honest, I know I had a slight drop in speed because of the DLM process, and that my noise margin is a helath 8-10db normally, but I'll post em up when I get home...

      These be the stats, as mentioned more than enough on the noise margin for a lil old white router, but still get disconnects daily or every other day

      Line Attenuation 38.5 db 23.7 db
      Noise Margin 10.3 db 13.5 db

      When did you go through DLM training? were you one off the initial 300000? If so it may have kicked in again, after the training period, if it is not suspended, DLM should continue to run on your line. A change in the noise conditions of your line should cause it to start again which would cause the symptoms you describe.

      Looking at your stats, you are syncing fairly high for your attenuation, but your noise margin shows you could possibly get another Mb, so your line must be in very good condition. If you are happy with your present speed, just leave it, keeping an eye on your sync speed. If it drops too low, Sky can probably manually configure it back to your best speed.

      Are you using wireless?

      If you are, are you sure you are loosing the connection to the exchange? it may just be that you are loosing wireless connection.

      Next time it happens, have a look at te router and see if the internet light is flashing orange.

      Wireless is only used for my phone and ipod touch, I game now and again so wired in for comp and ps3.

      Yes it's connection to the exchange as the orange light does come on and then flicks back, doesn't seem as long a disconnect as when i restart the router tho...

      DLM'd in the first batch - lucky me!!

      I'll see, if it happens much more I'll chuck a Kana form in a complain a bit... Just wanted to check there wasn't something stupid going on...

      If you use the KANA for to deal with this chances are they will cap the spped to try to resolve it, chances are, it won't.

      If you are loosing sync with the exchange then there is noise or a problem somewhere, what does the router log show?

      Just to bump this, just happened again, logs says:

      Minus tons of copies of the tf2rule - which i probably dont need anymore really...

      Noise Margin 8.8 db 13.0 db


      Oh, did I mention that my exchange has been 21cn by BT already....
