Question Sky broadband and powerline - advice please

      Hi,

I have just had Sky connect installed and have good connection to my pc through a wire. However my sons pcs won't connect as they use powerline which was connected through a powerline router.

I know I can buy a powerline plug, and plug the sky (sagem) router to that but I would rather utilise the powerline router as this is the first time I've had stable internet upstairs and it is only about 3 months old, I wuld also rather not spend any more money if possible.

Can I plug the powerline router into the sagem one and then use that for wireless please?

If so is it far too complicated for a rather bemused single mother to cope with?

I have read the other threads but couldn't really understand the answers.

      Thanks a lot

      Lias

You should be able to connect the routers together using an ethernet lead (the yellow one you get with Sky should do it), this should then give you the powerline facility again. Just plug socket one on the Sky router to an ethernet port on the powerline one.

Have you got any instructions for the powerline router?
2 routers on the same network "could" cause problems.

Shout here if you need further help.
