Well with that attenuation, at best you would see around 7900kbps sync speeds, and its possible that DLM is running yes.

Leave it connected as it may sync a little faster, all depends on the quality of your line.

You should see an improvement, in your upload speed especially.

As I'm on the "Mid" package I wasn't really expecting much improvement as I'm already about at the limits offered by Sky, or am I missing something?

One thing I have noticed now the lines on ADSL2+ is that the "Max" figures Max(Kbps): 8656 516 which I dont undertsand.

ie I thought they were the "uncapped" maximum capabilities of your line and yet the upload figure is over 50% worse than when on G.DMT. Is this an example of where ADSL2+ makes no improvment and Im better off with G.DMT? I was expecting the "MAX" to be about 11000kbps down and 1000Kbps up?

Sorry I I had an idea you were on Max, so your upload is right for Mid.

I am not too sure how accurate the 'Max' figure is, I have seen several cases where the line Rate has been higher than the Max rate shown in the detailed stats. I think you will end up with a speed pretty close to 8Mb as you still have a bit of noise margin to spare. Just keep it plugged in
