      Connect User needing help with stats

      Hi Guys

      Over the last few weeks my broadband has taken a massive drop in speed, downloading files and just surfing seems to take an age.

      Here are my router stats

      System Up Time: 01:18:44

      Here are the results from a speedtester.bt.com speed test

      Your DSL connection rate: 4736 kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 kbps(UP-STREAM)

      Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 889 kbps

      Any advice anyone can give would be great...Do you guys think an i-plate would help.

      Hi I would also suggest you have a look at (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users and if you had time have a look at Steve's Sky Connect speedtest blog I know what you are going through it is sad when your service provider does appear to understand

      I don't think throttling is the real problem here. With an attenuation of 26 and a double figure noise margin he should be syncing at the full 8 Mb. He should phone Sky and ask them to get BT to look into his connection.
