Talk Talk have called to say they can offer me phone and broadband for £17.74 inc V.A.T per month, this includes line rental, I would prefer to wait for Sky but the last exchange they upgraded in my area was on 04/03/2007.
Does the Sky package include line rental as I have never seen it mentioned, sorry if this has already been asked.

Re: Line rental
Bear in mind i do not use P2P so the FUP is of no concearn, this is a reply i got earlier and others have also posted that they have nothing negative to say about TT
Its brutal and unrelenting at my exchange and i have not seen the off peak throttle up , and it seems to be almost 24/7 .
TalkTalk really is not a good ISP for anybody that intends to use P2P .
But its a brilliant ISP for those that want to save some money and have a fast connection with good latency thats good for on line gaming .
All non P2P protocols work really well on TalkTalk , video streaming , FTP , online gaming , web and Email , Xbox live and so on , work really well , with me never having noticed any slowdown in the 8 months my mothers had her connection .
I spent Christmas and new year with my mother , and used her connection for my Xbox and it worked perfectly , and my sister and her family stayed with my mother for a couple of months whilst moving home .
So she boosted her connection with speed boost and download boost and kept two very demanding nephews very happy indeed , with both saying how much better Granny's broadband was compared to there old connection with BT .
But i guess they would as granny had a 22mb/1mb connection with a 80gig usage cap that rocked for online gaming on its fastpath profile .
Seriously dude , if you or your family are into P2P , TalkTalk is not for you , but if you can cope with brutal traffic management of P2P your left with a quality connection for all other Internet protocols .
TalkTalk customers except the traffic management of P2P as how TalkTalk keep prices down and speeds high
Edit: i have already told you in another thread how it is , so maybe somebody can back me up , or you spend a bit of time reading this forum ....

Re: Line rental
Probably the best place to look for information would be the TalkTalk forums.
The TalkTalk Members Forums
My nieghbour has TalkTalk and constantly hammers his connection downloading movies from torrents. He seems quite satisfied.
