      I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the correct place or not

      Recently been having connection problems....only in the last few days or so....I'll have internet one minute and then the next thing I'moff....this happens at several different times during the day and evening and is extremely annoying as up until now I've been more than pleased
      Came on here to see if I could get some answers and thought I'd start by doing the speed test as suggested
      Here are my results

      Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
      Your DSL connection rate: 7616 kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 kbps(UP-STREAM)
      IP profile for your line is - 6500 kbps
      Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 6098 kbps

      so that seems ok to me

      any ideas why I'm having intermitant connection???

      if you've just done that it WILL be fine...do it again this evening and see what you get...

      and this is just for speeds - intermittent connection could be something completely different so prob best start your own thread stating how you're setup, etc. and some router stats and we can go from there...

      Hi do you loose the internet connection more from late afternoon till midnight that would point towards Sky`s Traffic Management. As IANTE say`s also do Bt tests between 5pm and midnight the IP Profile for your line during test also Actual IP Throughput Achieved during the test are what Sky are interested in it is a good idea to say how you are setup hard wired or laptop and router stats.

      Nope I can lose it at anytime during the day......I usually use my pc but I'vew been working on my netbook recently and when it happens connection is lost on both.....logged on fine this morning at around 7.30am.... on my pc ...an hour later....no internet....10 mins after it was back again.....lost it at least another 6 times during the day....max it's off for is about an hour ....min 10 mins
      when I do lose connection something about a router comes up....I'll try and print screen message next time it happens......oh and if I right click on Wireless network connections on my netbook my sky doesn't show up
