How do I tell I'm on LLU or Max?

      Hi all,

Been on Sky Connect since the beginning of the year. I got a random text message from Sky a few weeks ago, which read: "Message from Sky. Good news, your Sky Broadband will be activated on 12/05/2009. You can check the latest update of your order at sky.com/mysky"

Now, I'm inclined to believe that Sky have just cocked-up again. I'm on the Fulham exchange (WRFULM) which has been full and not accepting any new LLU orders. So, how can I tell tomorrow whether I've been shifted over onto LLU or Max or whatever it's called?

At the moment, on Connect, the first couple of hosts in a traceroute are dr12.ennby.ov.easynet.net and 5acf0008.bb.sky.com - will they change on LLU?

      Yours cynically,

If you post your stats today and then tomorrow after it has been done, we should be able to spot the difference.

How to get your router statistics

That looks like you are still on connect, the 448 upload being the pointer, on max you would expect 760ish.

Yes the 448kbps upload is connect the problem is Sky have been selling connect calling it Max and selling it as Sky Max connect sometimes forgetting to say connect which I read on a thread you could look at which explains all about connect (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users I hope this is of some help

Tomorrow the 448 kbps should be higher than that. And also looking at your attenuation, I would expect to see a higher figure than this: 6784 kbps

Thanks all. I'll check the stats tomorrow and let you know. I'm still convinced Sky have just made a mistake with their text message - it surely can't be as simple as sitting back, waiting a few months and bingo, LLU arrives!

      Cheers

Actually it is supposed to be that simple when an exchange is unlooped, once it is completed a "mass migration" occurs and as many Connect customers as possible are moved across to the Sky equipment.
