      Little help :P

      Hey hey i have been with sky for about a year now and i have never been able to get over 600kbps download and 80kbps upload speed. Im not sure if they have capped me or what im on the max package, im not sure if i should give them a call or see if its just the router, any info would be great ty

      you should be on 16Mbps quite easily, so a lot is wrong here...you're not capped at present (well, very slightly)...

      test socket first, if you've got one, and post again...

      whoops my dad just had a look at it and iv gone up to 850kbps

      Tested it and now i seem to be stuck at 850kbps taken me a year to get an extra 250kbps lol anymore advice peeps?

      now it shows you're capped by Sky - you should be getting 16Mbps...

      you're internal wiring's screwed...

      I think it is only capped by being on G.DMT. Moved to ADSL2+ this would get the maximum. You need to fit an ADSL Filtered faceplate and plug your router into it. When you have done that phone Sky and ask them to move you to ADSL2+, this will give you over 16Mbs if Sky have uncapped your exchange for the higher speeds, 16 at the very worst. You should have come here a long time ago.
