    Gone from 16mb/s connection to 8?

      Gone from 16mb/s connection to 8?

      Why would my connection go from a strong 16mb connection to 8mb? ive changed nothing over the past few days but ive noticed the connection speed has dropped by half. The line dB is exactly the same as it was before.

      Could be a problem with your line, maybe just temporary, have you seen any BTO vans around your area. Post your stats for the record.

      It looks like something catastrophic has happened to your line. With that attenuation you should get 16Mb and more quite easily, but your noise margin shows you are getting as much as the line can take. If you have a Test socket, link below, plug in there and take the stats. This will rule out the possibility of internal faults having developed.

      That's unfortunate. All you can do is plug into the Master socket and unplug everything you have plugged into the extension sockets. See if you get a difference. If you don't find anything different all you can do is phone Sky and ask them to check your connection and line.

      well ive just been disconnected and it has gone back up to 16mb
